![]() ![]() Good job RGB! I put this rig together 2 years ago and was excited about the lighting but found out as soon as I started to try to configure it that it was a mess. ![]() I have to let ICUE stay running in background for device lighting and if i want light in the case i have RGB sitting with it's setting but not showiiing on start up. But responding to yyzunderdog it was a seperate program all by itself. nope I remember now I uninstalled it because it was a joke. Haven't played with the lighting for a long time. I just went down to check if I still had Mystic light installed. lit up like f*****g christmas tree but you need RGB, Mystic, Corsait ICUE to try to make look like something. My equipment: Z370 Gaming M5, i7-8700K, MSI 1060 6gig, coolermaster case (msi Dragon special edition), 64 gig Vengence 2666MHZ ram, coolermaster led controller in case, corsair stuff mouse, pad, void headphones, k? keyboard. A standalone app for RGB control that does not attempt to control 3rd party products is what we really need. To top it off, it doesn't even offer good RGB effects. ![]() Mystic lighting should probably be scrapped entirely in it's current sate. The BIOS updates are handy, but I've had them fail on me.ĭragon Center is a mess that does too much, does it badly and breaks unrelated services and peripherals because there is no way to disable unwanted components. Yeah, at best you hope these things don't drop some strange driver that will break and bluescreen windows with a future win10 update. (Turning it off does not disable it) Having weird network or lag problems? Having your SSH or other terminal sessions randomly drop? Sorry! Your only option is to uninstall. This is installed with Dragon Center and can't be disabled. Settings don't take half the time, and (Particularly with the GPU) they don't survive a reboot without going back in to the utility and manually re-applying. The UI is confusing and does not make a lick of sense. (Usually both) - At the same time, Mystic lighting does an absolutely piss poor job of controlling the MSI devices you set out to configure in the first place. You can attempt to disable this, but it doesn't work. Attempts to control your Corsair, Razor peripherals, and wraith prism cooler. It somehow accomplishes what it sets out to do very poorly while at the same time breaking a lot of other things that it really should have nothing to do with in the first place Going back almost 10 years, all of my GPUs and motherboards have been MSI.ĭragon center is an albatross around the neck of what is otherwise a fantastic suite of products. Currently running a X570 Gaming Edge Wifi and a 2070 Super Gaming X. ![]()
